The Clinton County Republican Party has selected Mark Mitchell to serve as the new Clinton County Council At-Large member following a caucus of the party’s precinct committee members held on July 11, 2026.
Mitchell will serve the remainder of the term left vacant following the passing of longtime council member Mike Hensley.
The Clinton County GOP announced Mitchell’s selection, welcoming him to the council and expressing confidence in his ability to serve the residents of Clinton County.
Mitchell was pictured following the caucus with Clinton County Commissioner Jordan Brewer and Frankfort Mayor Judy Sheets.
As a member of the Clinton County Council, Mitchell will join the county’s fiscal body, which is responsible for approving budgets, appropriations, and other financial matters affecting county government.
