Robert Zook, 69, of Flora, IN, passed away May 20, 2026, peacefully at his home. He was born December 10, 1956 in Frankfort, Indiana to James Garfield & Vivian Rose (Chadwick) Zook. He was married to Jennifer Catherine Post on February 19, 2004 in Cocoa Beach, FL and she preceded him in death on March 8, 2022.

Robert attended Clinton Central Jr./Sr. High School. He worked as a carpenter and he and his wife established Rose Construction in 2008. Robert was a part of the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) in Carroll County and shared his knowledge with the next generation team. He gave to various Native American Charities, and was a member of the Wounded Warrior Project through donations. Robert was witty, quick with a joke, enjoyed a good game of Euchre, playing guitar, tinkering, loved to paint and had a love for the Native American Culture. His greatest enjoyment was operating heavy equipment, turning the ground, working in the fields and building with his hands.
Robert is survived by his children, Robert James (BJ) Dean of Flora, Lauren Rene Celeste of Frankfort, children he loved as his own, Sheila Marie Post of Kokomo, Jason Timothy (Theresa) Tate of Kentucky, Darci Aria Barr of Noblesville, siblings, LeRoy (Carolyn) Zook of Frankfort, Don Henderson of California, Stephen Zook of Frankfort, Candace (Fred) Cheek of Frankfort, grandchildren, Patciance, Germany, Serenity, Journey, Sophia, Kaleb, Je’Ray, Alieca, Kierstin, Amya, Alexeya, Aleeah, Christian, Jason Jr., Megan, Brendon, great-grandchildren, Adrian, Isaiah, Mateo, LeVaya, RayLynn, Alyla, Jalaya, Jaziya, Jazir, Carter, Haisley, Luka, and Lilia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, spouse and siblings, Doug Henderson, James Zook II, Keith Zook, Kathaleen Meiers and David Zook.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 30, 2026 at the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum, Green Lawn Cemetery, 496 W Co Rd 200 S, Frankfort, IN. Memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Native American Rights Fund. Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S.
