Nancy Jo Rogers of Commerce, Georgia, passed away April 7, 2026. She was born August 16, 1942 in Lafayette, IN to Emmett Etcheson & Roberta Maria (Cox) Payne. She attended Clinton Central High School through the 11th grade, leaving to marry Richard D. Rogers on July 2, 1960. She remained by his side until his death on July 5, 2007.
Nancy was baptized into the Lord’s Body on April 20, 1976 at the Central Church of Christ in Rantoul, Illinois. She was an accomplished basket weaver, crocheter and baker, always sharing her efforts as gifts to others. She was also an avid reader and loved being with her family.
Nancy is survived by her children, Robert Dale (Karen Jean) Rogers of Commerce, GA, Christopher (Amy) Rogers Sr., of Oklahoma City, OK, Jeffrey Wayne (Kristi Kay) Rogers, of Ganado, TX, siblings, Sharon Alexander, Kirklin, IN and Bill Harrington of Indianapolis, grandchildren, Steven Dale Rogers, Kristen Renee Jenkins, Christopher (Kendra) Rogers Jr., Kelsey (Nick) Hibdon, Carson Alexander-Timur Rogers, great-grandchildren, Benjamin Carl Jenkins, Clara Grace Jenkins, Zelda Renee Shirley Jenkins, Kamden Smith, Dakota Smith, and Peyton Hibdon.
Nancy was preceded in death by her mother, Roberta Maria Cox in May of 2004, sister, Carolyn Vaughan in October of 2020 and brother, Marion Harrington Jr. in May of 2023.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until 12 Noon on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort.
