Betty Louise Coomer, 83, of Frankfort, passed away April 9, 2026 at Wesley Manor. She was born January 19, 1943 in Clinton County of Cecil & Ann (Allison) Rader. She married Charles L. Coomer on February 11, 1961 and he preceded her in death on November 26, 2007.
Betty was a 1961 graduate of Frankfort High School. She was a former co-owner of Coomer & Sons Sawmill, retiring in 1998. Betty was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed vacations and wintering in Naples Florida with friends, traveling in the motorhome & boating with Charles and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Betty is survived by her children, Dennis (Heather) Coomer of Frankfort, Kevin (Myra) Coomer of Lafayette, Jeff (Kathleen) Coomer of Frankfort, Chris (Shannon) Coomer of Michigan City, IN, Michelle (Michael) Akard of Frankfort, sister, Marilyn Roberson of Frankfort, 19 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, spouse, 5 grandchildren, sisters, Maybeth Dircks, Imogene Hoffman, brothers, Jack & Robert Rader.
Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral service will begin at 12 Noon on Saturday at the funeral home and her son, Chris will officiate the service. Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery.
