Wind Advisory Issued Across Central Indiana Through Thursday Evening

Residents across central Indiana are being urged to prepare for strong winds as a Wind Advisory remains in effect until 7:00 PM Thursday, according to Clinton County Central Dispatch.

The advisory, issued Wednesday afternoon, warns of sustained south winds ranging from 15 to 25 miles per hour, with gusts reaching up to 45 to 50 mph. These conditions are expected to impact a wide portion of the region, including counties such as Carroll, Tippecanoe, Clinton, Hamilton, Marion, Johnson, and many others throughout central and surrounding areas.

The primary concerns include unsecured outdoor objects being blown around, potential damage to tree limbs, and isolated power outages. Drivers, especially those operating high-profile vehicles like trucks, vans, and SUVs, are advised to use extra caution as strong gusts could make travel hazardous.
