The Indiana Department of Transportation will host a hearing to offer the public an opportunity to review and comment on preliminary design plans to rehabilitate the Historic Bridge on State Road 75 over Middle Fork Wildcat Creek south of Cutler.
As proposed, the project involves the rehabilitation of the existing structure for continued vehicular use. The project will remove and replace the existing asphalt roadway and arch fill down to the existing unreinforced concrete arch. Patching and waterproofing the arch, spandrel walls, and wing walls will be included and will preserve all architectural details of the bridge.
The hearing will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Flora Public Library (109 N. Center Street, Flora, IN). Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for an open house to give the public time to view displays and talk to project representatives. A formal presentation will begin at 6 p.m., followed by an opportunity for verbal statements for the record.
Project materials can be reviewed online at bit.ly/SR75Des1703010. All verbal statements recorded during the public hearing and all written comments submitted prior to, during, and for a period of two weeks following the hearing date, will be evaluated, considered, and addressed in subsequent environmental documentation. INDOT respectfully requests that comments be submitted by April 14, 2026.
