Athletes from the Clinton County Indiana Special Olympics celebrated an exciting and successful day at sectional competition, with the Thundercats teams bringing home both gold and bronze medals.
The Ferocious Thundercats (5-on-5 team) delivered an outstanding performance, battling through tough competition and showcasing determination, teamwork, and skill. Their efforts paid off with a Gold Medal finish, securing their place at the state competition. The victory marks a major achievement for the team and highlights the hard work they have put in throughout the season.
The Roaring Thundercats (3-on-3 team) also had a strong showing during the sectional tournament. Demonstrating perseverance and heart on the court, the team earned a Bronze Medal, adding another proud accomplishment for the program.
Coaches, families, and supporters praised both teams for their hustle, sportsmanship, and dedication. The athletes represented their community with pride and determination throughout the day.
The organization also expressed gratitude to Michigantown Christian Church for providing transportation for the athletes. The church generously allowed the team to use its bus, helping ensure everyone could travel to the competition safely and together.
With the Ferocious Thundercats now advancing, excitement is building as they prepare to compete at the state level. Regardless of the outcome, both teams have already proven that hard work, teamwork, and heart can lead to incredible achievements.
