Boys Basketball Sectional Brackets

The IHSAA revealed the brackets for the Sectional round of the 2026 Indiana High School State Tournament.

Here is a look at who and where the local teams will be playing.

1A Sectional 54 – Clinton Central

Teams: Clinton Prairie, Clinton Central, Rossville, Carroll, Bethesda Christian, Traders Point Christian, Frontier

Sectional 54

*This Sectional will be broadcast on WILO*

Game 1 – Traders Point Christian vs Carroll – Tuesday, 3/3, 6:00 p.m.

Game 2 – Bethesda Christian vs Clinton Prairie – Wednesday, 3/4, 6:00 p.m.

Game 3 – Frontier vs Clinton Central – Wednesday, 3/4, 8:00 p.m.

Game 4 – Rossville vs Winner Game 1 – Friday, 3/6, 6:00 p.m.

Game 5 – Winner Game 2 vs Winner Game 3 – Friday, 3/6, 8:00 p.m.

Game 6 – Sectional Championship – Saturday, 3/7, 7:00 p.m.

Analysis – The Rossville Hornets get the bye and play the winner of Carroll and Traders Point. The Cougars are the only team in the Sectional with a win over the Hornets, setting up an exciting potential rematch. Clinton Prairie, who won the Sectional and made it all the way to Gainbridge last year, faces Bethesda Christian in a tough matchup. Frontier, at 15-6, has a favorable draw to the Championship game and played the Hornets tight in a matchup back in December.

2A Sectional 37 – Delphi

Teams: Delphi, Western Boone, Seeger, North Montgomery, Rensselaer Central, Benton Central

Sectional 37

Game 1 – Delphi vs Western Boone – Tuesday, 3/3, 6:00 p.m.

Game 2 – Seeger vs North Montgomery – Tuesday, 3/3, 7:30 p.m.

Game 3 – Rensselaer Central vs Winner Game 1 – Friday, 3/6, 6:00 p.m.

Game 4 – Benton Central vs Winner Game 2 – Friday, 3/6, 7:30 p.m.

Game 5 – Sectional Championship – Saturday, 3/7, 7:00 p.m.

Analysis – Last year, the Western Boone Stars were 8-14 heading into Sectional play with a tough first-round matchup against Delphi. They went on to win Sectional 37. This year, the Stars are 8-13 with one regular-season game remaining and have a tough first-round matchup against…Delphi. The winner of that game has a strong chance to play for a Sectional Championship. Seeger has the best record of all the teams in Sectional 37 at 14-8, but will have to get through North Montgomery and Benton Central, teams they narrowly defeated in the regular season.

3A Sectional 25 – Frankfort

Teams: Brebeuf Jesuit, Tri-West, Danville, Crawfordsville, Guerin Catholic, Frankfort, Lebanon

Sectional 25

Game 1 – Brebeuf Jesuit vs Tri-West – Tuesday, 3/3, 7:00 p.m.

Game 2 – Danville vs Crawfordsville – Wednesday, 3/4, 6:00 p.m.

Game 3 – Guerin Catholic vs Frankfort – Wednesday, 3/4, 7:30 p.m.

Game 4 – Lebanon vs Winner Game 1 – Friday, 3/6, 6:00 p.m.

Game 5 – Winner Game 2 vs Winner Game 3 – Friday, 3/6, 7:30 p.m.

Game 6 – Sectional Championship – Saturday, 3/7, 7:00 p.m.

Analysis – Tri-West vs Brebeuf Jesuit is a strong first-round matchup. Brebeuf is 14-6, but has only played one game against a Sectional 25 opponent; they lost by nine to Guerin Catholic, while Tri-West is 2-1 with an overtime loss to Guerin Catholic. The Golden Eagles are the hottest team in the Sectional, having won 10 games in a row, and have not lost to a Sectional 25 opponent.
