The Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will have a strong presence at the 71st Annual Ford Indianapolis Boat, Sport and Travel Show, Feb. 20-22 and Feb. 25-March 1, at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
The DNR’s main location will be Tackle Town, in the Blue Ribbon Pavilion. The booth is a convenient one-stop shopping opportunity for fishing and hunting licenses, state park annual entrance passes, lake-use permits, and Outdoor Indiana magazine subscriptions. The booth will also be a great place to get free guides, including the new 2026 Recreation Guide and 2026-27 Fishing Guide.
DNR fish and wildlife biologists and state park interpretive naturalists will be on hand throughout the show to share information and resources, as well as answer questions about their subjects of expertise. State Park Inns will have an information booth in the Travel and Tourism area of the show. On the show’s second weekend, during the Deer, Turkey, and Waterfowl Expo, Indiana Conservation Officers and DNR fish and wildlife biologists will be on hand to answer questions.
The DNR team will also present a series of educational programs at the Boat, Sport and Travel Show. A “Snakes Alive, Snake Buffet” from O’Bannon Woods State Park will be offered Feb. 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Live Birds of Prey from Hardy Lake’s Dwight Chamberlain Raptor Center will be presented Feb. 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Members of the Indiana Conservation Officers K-9 team will be available Feb. 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., giving the public an opportunity to interact with the officers and their K-9 partners.
