Charles R. “Dick” Smith, 79, of Forest, Ind., passed away February 15, 2026 at his home. He was born July 1, 1946 in Frankfort to Norman & Laura (Mounts) Smith. He married Diana Randle on September 26, 1969 in Michigantown and she survives.
Dick was a 1964 graduate of Clinton Central High School and a lifelong Clinton County resident. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1965-1969. He worked as a supervisor/engineer for Federal Mogul from 1970-2007. Dick enjoyed golfing, fishing, spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.
Dick is survived by his wife, Diana, son, Brandon Smith of Russiaville, daughter, Larrisa Mouermann of Forest, grandchildren, Levi Smith of Kirklin, Logan Smith of Rossville, Gabriella Russell of Frankfort, great grandson, Stratton Smith of Lebanon, sister, Bonnie Parker of Kokomo and brother, Robert (Diane) Smith of Frankfort.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Green Lawn Memorial Park.
