Michael Copas, 69, of Mulberry, passed away February 11, 2026 at IU Health Arnett Hospital, Lafayette. He was born May 29, 1956 in Frankfort to Keith Copas and Josalee (Pippenger) Copas Camp.
Michael was a 1976 graduate of Frankfort High School and a longtime Frankfort resident. He was a bus driver and worked in security. He was a member of the Apostolic Bible Church since 2018. Michael enjoyed being at home and watching TV.
Michael is survived by his son, Robert (Lisa) Mitchell II of Lafayette, brother, Kevin (Marjorie) Copas of Frankfort, mother, Josalee Copas Camp of Frankfort, grandchildren, Robert Mitchell, Katelyn Mitchell, niece, Micole (William) Davis of Hamilton County and her children, Ethan, Piper, Rhealynn, nephew, Cameron (Kaley) Copas of Kokomo and his children, Scarlett & Sawyer, as well as niece, Erika Watkins and nephew, Mikal Watkins.
Michael is preceded in death by his father, Keith Copas, Sister, Teola Copas and a daughter, Andrea Suzanne Copas.
