Norma Jean “Tennie” Zetterberg, 72, formerly of Hillisburg, Ind., passed away January 1, 2026 at The Waters in Lebanon, Ind. She was born May 29, 1953 in Frankfort to the late Charles & Daisy (Martin) Cheek. She married Wendell J. Zetterberg Sr. on May 29, 1971 and he preceded her in death on August 9, 2020.
Tennie was a 1971 graduate of Clinton Central High School. She worked as a service representative for St. Vincent Hospital in Carmel. During her tenure with St. Vincent, she was awarded the Integrity Award. Tennie was a member of the Hillisburg United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, word search, coloring, loved to bake cakes and decorate them and was a Precious Moments collector.
Norma is survived by her sons, Wendell (Tammy) Zetterberg Jr. of Kirklin, Wade (Heather) Zetterberg of Remington, Wynn (Emily) Zetterberg of Frankfort, daughter, Wendy Lecklitner of Lafayette, siblings, Tim (Jodie) Cheek of Lebanon, Shirley Dean of Indianapolis and Wanda “Wos” (Steve) Maher of North Carolina, brother-in-law, Gerald Russell of Frankfort, 7 grandchildren, Taylor, Dylan, Kadison, Drew, Isabella, Cadence “Ciel”, Jack, 5 step-grandchildren, Alex, Brady, McKinleigh, Lilly, and Eli and 14 great-grandchildren and one on the way.
Visitation will be from 12 Noon-2 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2026 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
