Clinton County Commissioners held no vote on the Data Center rezoning application today in the new Commissioners Meeting Room because Logix Realty LLC withdrew their application for rezoning. Area Plan Executive Director Liz Stitzel made the announcement during the commissioners meeting Tuesday Morning. The announcement, discussion and public comments that followed were broadcast LIVE this morning on Hoosierland TV. It is expected a new revised rezoning request will be filed at some time in the near future. This refiling will enable a more accurate request for land use. A casting company has expressed interest to be a part of the rezoning request and the land request will likely increase to include approximately 1200 acres, according to Stitzel. When the request is filed, the rezoning procedure will need to start over, complete with signage, area plan action and public comment. Stitzel said the public is welcome to call the Area Plan office if anyone desires to know the disposition of the anticipated request.
