Russell J. “Rusty” Garrett, 60, of Frankfort, passed away September 25, 2025 at his home with his family by his side. He was born April 4, 1965 in South Bend, IN to Raymond & Thelma Ruth (Bowers) Garrett. He married Kitty Jane Tunnell on May 21, 1988 and she survives.
Rusty was a handyman and painter. He attended the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Frankfort. He enjoyed tinkering around, fixing things and was quite the handyman. He loved fishing, being with his family and will be remembered for his joke telling ability and making others laugh with his unique sense of humor.
Rusty is survived by his wife, Kitty, sons, Russell “RJ” (Cassie) Garrett, William Garrett, all of Frankfort, sister, Kathy (Randall) Richards of Connersville, IN, nieces, Amanda (Steve) Richards of Connersville, IN, Candora (Brandon) Stover of Florida, Jane Tunnell of Anderson, IN, several other nieces, nephews, 9 great-nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Bones, Betsy, Skip and canine grand puppy, Jaxson.
