The Indiana Department of Transportation announces lane and ramp closures on I-865 and I-465 in Marion and Boone counties. Crews will be working on bridge construction on I-465 over 96th Street.
Beginning around 9 p.m. on Friday, September 19, the right lane of I-465 eastbound will close between Zionsville Road and Michigan Road (U.S. 421). Work is expected to be complete by 6 a.m. on Monday, September 22.
Additionally, the I-865 eastbound ramp to I-465 eastbound will close around 9 p.m. on Friday, September 19, and reopen around 6 a.m. on Wednesday, September 24. During this closure, the official detour will follow the I-865 eastbound ramp to I-465 southbound, and the 86th Street ramp to I-465 northbound.
INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and use extra caution while traveling in and around work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
