Flora Airport to Host “Touch a Truck, Touch an Airplane” Fly-In Event

Families will have a chance to get up close with aircraft and vehicles at the “Touch a Truck, Touch an Airplane” Fly-In at the Flora Airport on Saturday, September 6, 2025. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is free to attend.

Young aviation enthusiasts will be especially excited—free glider airplane toys will be given to the first 50 children. Visitors can explore airplanes and other aircraft up close, while also checking out a variety of trucks and equipment on display.

Food and refreshments will be available, with ice cream and sandwiches served by Rosie’s Creamery.

Pilots and planes are also invited to join the fun. The Flora Airport, located at 481 South County Road 150 West, features a  2,143’ x 93’ turf runway (CTAF 122.9). The airport is one mile west of Flora on State Road 18, then one-half mile south on County Road 150 West.

Organizers encourage families to bring their curiosity and cameras for a day of interactive fun, education, and community spirit.
