Kent Allen Brewer, 63, of rural Frankfort, died April 22, 2025 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis, IN. He was born January 16, 1962 in Lima, Ohio to Norman Lee Brewer and Carol (Moyer) Brewer Byrnes. He married Kimberly Johnson on August 14, 1982 in Frankfort and she survives.
Kent was a 1980 graduate of Clinton Prairie High School. He was a farmer and business owner for 45 years. His was a member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church, and the Frankfort Order of Symposiarchs. Kent was very active in the community, including; Clinton County Fair Board, Frankfort Jaycees, Clinton County Reserve Deputy, Boone County Reserve Deputy, Trustee at Antioch Church, was a Beck’s Hybrid Dealer and served on the Advisory Council, Clinton County Sheriff Merit Board member, Frankfort Country Club Board, City of Frankfort Utility Service Board member and was a longtime member of “The Poker Club.”
Kent is survived by his wife, Kimberly of rural Frankfort, sons, Jordan (Blair) Brewer, Justin (Becky) Brewer, grandchildren, Ava, Jace, Grayson and Hudson all of Frankfort, mother, Carol Byrnes of Lebanon, brother, Rad (Michelle) Brewer of Spring Grove, IL, sister, Kim (Bill) Dahmen of Frankfort, mother-in-law, Ann Johnson of Frankfort, sisters-in-law, Kathryn (Carl) Loveless of West Lafayette, Kristin (Bruce) Hibbard of Henryville, several nieces, nephews and a lifetime of friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Norman Brewer and father-in-law, Robert Johnson.
Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2025 at the St. Matthew United Methodist Church, 1951 Wilshire Dr., Frankfort. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2025 at the church with Reverend Dr. Darin Hendrey officiating. Private family burial will be in Buntin Cemetery at a later date.
