Routine School Patrol Nets Arrest Of Serious Sex Offender In Frankfort

A routine school patrol resulted in the arrest of a 61-year-old Frankfort man who was prohibited from entering school property as result of his sex offender status.

On March 7, officer Brett Waggoner was reportedly conducting afternoon school patrol in the 300 Block of N. Maish Rd. when he observed a vehicle known to him that was reportedly registered to a sexually violent predator and was being driven by a male at the time of observation.

The vehicle reportedly drove on Frankfort schools’ property, which prompted a traffic stop to be conducted. With the aid of the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, Waggoner was able to confirm that the driver, Bruce Alsman Jr., 61, of Frankfort, was prohibited from being on school property, prompting his arrest and transportation to jail.

On March 10, the Clinton County Prosecutor’s Office filed a charge for unlawful entry by a serious sex offender, a level 6 felony.
