Karen Sue (Russell) Pilley, 82, of rural Michigantown, IN, passed away March 9, 2025 at Wesley Manor. She was born September 5, 1942 in Frankfort to Raymond & Dorothy (McCoy) Russell. She married Frankie W. Pilley on November 12, 1982 in Frankfort and he survives.
Karen was a 1960 graduate and the first class to graduate from Clinton Central High School. She had lived her entire life in Clinton County. She had previously worked at Peter Paul and the Frankfort Salvation Army. Karen was a member of the Michigantown Christian Church and a faithful follower of the Lord. Karen was an avid Hallmark ornament collector, enjoyed gardening and loved raising irises, but her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
Karen is survived by her husband, Frankie of Michigantown, son, Wesley E. (Noelle) Clouse of Noblesville, IN, daughter, Elizabeth A. (John) Burnett of Freeland, MI, sister, Phyllis (Doug) Ridenour of Michigantown, 7 grandchildren, Nicholas (Amanda) Rothenberger, Erin (Todd) Davis, Curtis (Marcie) Herring, J.T. Burnett, Eli Clouse, Emma Clouse, Ella Burnett and 6 great grandchildren, Rhys, Ava Rae, Jocelyne, Charlotte, Clara, and Bryce. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lora Lee Edwards in 2016.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 13th at Michigantown Christian Church, 108 W. 2nd St., Michigantown. Pastor Sam Guilliams will officiate.
