Brenda L. Kinslow, 62, of Colfax, Ind., passed away January 9, 2025 in her home surrounded by family. She was born on November 11, 1962 in Frankfort to Ernie & Elaine (Ferguson) Haley. She married James M. Kinslow II on July 20, 2003 in Colfax and he survives.
Brenda is a 1981 graduate of Clinton Prairie High School. She was the Director of the Colfax Perry Township Public Library for 30 years and the Plainview Cemetery Sexton since 2017. Brenda was a member of the Colfax Methodist Church and the Colfax Historical Society. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and camping but her greatest joy was her family and loving her grandkids.
Surviving along with her Husband: Jimmy are her Children: Andy (Chelsea) Best of Lafayette, Cory Best of Indianapolis, Megan (Stephen) Fox of Indianapolis, and James Kinslow III (Jenn) of Frankfort; Sister: Lois (Dave) Wiegmann of Ft. Wayne, Brother: Dick (Nicole) Haley of Crawfordsville; and Grandchildren: EmmaGrace, Bryson, Mara, Lennox, Hendrix, Paisley, Jozie, and Jairus. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother: Ernie Haley, and her granddaughter: Gaby.
A Funeral Service will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, January 13, 2025 at Archer-Weston Funeral & Cremation Center, 501 East Clinton Street, Frankfort. Friends may visit 2 p.m. until the time of service at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made in Brenda’s honor to the Colfax Library or the Colfax Historical Society, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
