John B. Irwin, 84, a lifelong Clinton County resident, died December 4, 2024 at Wesley Manor. He was born October 6, 1940 in Frankfort, Indiana to the late William H. & Cathryn (Bond) Irwin. He married Sara Caldwell on Augus
t 6, 1966 and she preceded him in death on July 3, 1985. He was also previously married to Dixie McKinsey.
John was a 1958 graduate of Kirklin High School, attended Taylor University for a year and attended the short course at Purdue University. He farmed his entire life and was a member of the National Guard. John was a member of the Kirklin Christian Church, where he was past deacon.
John is survived by a son, Brent A. (Timotea) Irwin of Sunman, Indiana, daughter, Betsy (Casey) Anes of Orange City, Florida and 5 grandchildren, Brianna Batts, Tyler Batts, Eric King, Nikolas Camper and Sarah K. Irwin, 2 great grandchildren, Aiden & Macy Batts and longtime friends, Garney & Karen Jenkins.
Visitation will be 12 ~ 2 p.m. Monday, December 9, 2024 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Paul Whitaker will officiate.
