Carroll Schools Temporary Closes Pool For Boiler Switchover

The Carroll Consolidated School Corporation has announced that during the week, one of the boilers experienced issues with its control board that needs replaced, affecting the pool.

The corporation stated that the boiler was shut down, and the school will continue normal operations with its other boilers while the other boiler is undergoing maintenance. During the switchover, heated water that is normally utilized to heat the pool was running at a lower temperature than normal, and the pool water lost heat in the process.

The corporation stated that for safety purposes, the pool will remain closed until its reaches its normal operating temperature again. Superintendent Keith Thackery stated that the process normally takes around one day to raise the pool temperature one degree.

Thackery stated that if the process progresses seamlessly, the corporation seeks to have the pool open again by the end of the week this week.
