The Delphi Methodist Church has announced its 2024 Basket Project to aid those in need during the Christmas season receive gifts for their children with applications due in less than one week.
Community members may register for the Toy Store and the Food Certificate until Nov. 25. Names will not be taken after the deadline. Registration may be completed by contacting Kathy LaFond at 765-564-2516.
Registration must include, full name, address, phone number, number of adults, age and gender of children and name of person picking up the items. Those who register will be notified of distribution days, times and location.
The church is currently accepting donations for the project. Toy Store donations may be dropped off at Honon Hall at the corner of Union Street and Monroe Street in Delphi on Monday, Dec. 2 and Tuesday, Dec. 3 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Wednesday, Dec. 4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. All items must be new, and no clothes will be accepted aside from gloves and hats. Suggested items needed for boys and girls ages infant to 18-years-old include toys and crafts, technology and electronic items, Legos and games, gloves and hats, sports equipment and gift cards.
Monetary donations for the programs may be made payable to Christmas Baskets, Inc. and mailed to Sandy Cripe at 6317 W. Division Line Rd., Delphi, IN 46923. No food donations will be accepted.
