Clinton County EMS released details regarding its upcoming paramedic class following extended interest in the class from local community members.
The second paramedic class through Clinton County EMS is set to begin on Jan. 6, 2025 and conclude on Dec. 31, 2025, and applications are due no later than Nov. 30 this year.
The class strives to provide high education standards with critical care and flight providers as instructors alongside the involved Medical Director with EMS and HEMS experience. For the second class, the department stated that two Medical Directors will be present.
The department stated that the class promises to provide hands-on experience to provide participants with real-world experience through challenging curriculum and extensive lab trainings.
The class also provides participants with the ability to forego an associate degree and begin their career with 30 credit hours through Columbia Southern University. Upon completion of the class, participants will be given the opportunity to finish their degrees.
The course is a 12-month program costing $7,800 for the enter course. The course consists of M&T In-Person 0900-1700 In-Depth Lab and Classroom Sessions. Participants may apply by contacting Program Director Dolores Paul at dpaul@clintonco.com.
