Marissa Mills, Crossing Administrator, Accepts Position With Bethel University: Open Letter to Community

Marissa Mills, director of the Crossing School in Clinton County, announced to her teaching team Monday and to Students and Board members Tuesday that she has accepted a position as Resident Director at Bethel University in Mishawaka, Indiana.

Monday August 5th will be Mill’s last day at the Crossing.  Mills has served as Director at the Crossing for the past 15 years.

The Crossing School of Business & Entrepreneurship is an accredited high school in the State of Indiana dedicated to helping struggling individuals become transformed, fulfilled and contributing members of society through faith-based education and caring relationships.  The Crossing School provides an alternative to traditional education in its unique setting and approach.

Crossing Board President Susan Kaspar, on behalf of the Crossing Board and teaching team, thanks Marissa for her unwavering dedication and outstanding service for these last 15 years. “Marissa has been an integral part of our business, educational and faith community, consistantly demonstrating a deep commitment to the mission and values of the Crossing School”, Kaspar said.  “Marissa embodies the spirit of the Crossing School with her tireless efforts and remarkable talents. Her passion for education and genuine care for our students have made an indelible impact on our school and broader Frankfort Community.  We have been incredibly blessed to have had someone of her caliber lead our team.”

Fellow educator Kirsten Clark, Principal of Clinton Prairie said it well:  “Marissa, your influence as a true servant leader has gone far beyond the Crossing walls.”

The Crossing School is located about one mile East of Frankfort on State Road 28.

Residential ministry has been on Mill’s heart for over 20 years and something “God has uniquely created me for.”

“This transition will not be easy, but it is my desire to model faith and trust in God”
