Frankfort Freshman Hot Dog Kick-Off Set For Aug. 1

The Community Schools of Frankfort has announced its upcoming Freshman hot Dog Kick-Off for the 2024-2025 school year set for Thursday, Aug. 1 for the Class of 2028 to become acquainted with the layout of the school, other students and staff members.

The Freshman Hot Dog Kick-Off is set for Aug. 1 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Frankfort High School and acts as the beginning of the students’ freshman year at the school. All freshmen are encouraged to attend the event, which is a half-day orientation for incoming ninth-graders that is led by staff and students of Frankfort High School.

During the event, students will learn how to maneuver around the Frankfort High School campus, meet the high school administration team, be informed about important issues by upper classmen, learn more about the activities available at the high school, participate in fun activities, find their locker and practice opening it and be prepared for the first day of school as an official student of Frankfort High School.

The program will start promptly at 9 a.m., and incoming freshmen should report to the main lobby no later than 8:45 a.m. on Aug. 1 by entering through the Frankfort High School main entrance at Door 1. While there is no fee to attend, a registration form should be turned in prior to the kickoff of the events on Aug. 1. Registration forms may be accessed on fhs.frankfortschools.org, and the forms may be mailed to 1 S. Maish Rd. in Frankfort by Friday, July 26 or brought with the student on the day of the event. Students may also purchase a Hot Dog t-shirt for $15 when submitting the registration form.
