The Frankfort Parks Department received aid from the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office and inmates to spruce up downtown Frankfort as flower pots scattered around the square received an updated look with new paint.
“The Frankfort Parks Department extends a huge thank you to these (five) individuals and the three Sheriff’s Department officers who accompanied them in painting the flowerpots in Downtown Frankfort,” the department released. “Your honks and thumbs up were much appreciated. Great job, guys. The flowerpots look fantastic.”
The inmates with the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office participate in numerous community service projects throughout the county every year, such as aiding the Parks Department with beautifying the city, aiding the Fair Council with preparing for the annual fair and helping the 7 Lights of Trepidation Haunted House Fundraiser crew with the initial and final steps during the season.
The downtown community saw three inmates dedicating their time for the opportunity to beautify Frankfort on Wednesday.
