Hot Dogs Hit Personal Season Best During Sectional Golf Matchup

The Frankfort Hot Dogs boys’ golf team rounded out their season during a difficult matchup during the Indiana High School Athletic Association Sectional on Monday, June 3 where they placed sixth overall.

The Hot Dogs traveled to the Ulen Country Club in Boone County to join four of the top-rated Indiana high school teams for the Sectional, and the golfers swung for the green during the matchup to snag their best performance of the season with a final tally of 359, which placed them in sixth amongst the teams present.

The Hot Dogs were led by freshman Charlie Beardsley, who tacked up a score of 84, followed by Jackson Ray and Dylan Garrison with 91, Harrison Kiger with 93 and Garek Birge with 97 to round out the tallied scores for the Hot Dogs. Coach Mike Kelley stated that the match showcased the abilities of the Hot Dogs as they all raked in a score below 100 for the first time during the season in an 18-hole match.

The Sectional saw Guerin Catholic, 288, Zionsville, 292, and Westfield, 298, snag the top three spots amongst the teams and secure their position in the Regional competition.
