Phase One of Banderas Point Has Soft Opening Tuesday April 30

The new 10,137 square foot Good to Go Convenience store at Banderas Point plans on a “soft opening” on Tuesday.  The new facility at the intersection of I-65 and 28 will not only house the highest volume Subway sandwich location in the State of Indiana but will also offer showers, washers and dryers, ADA showers, Charlie Biggs Chicken and three times the existing floor space of the current store.

The existing store and Subway and store location and adjacent pole barn will be demolished starting Monday May 6th.  Before the end of summer, the entire 11 acre site will be paved with asphalt, providing a very large area for truck drivers to maneuver, park, eat, shower and rest.

The total investment at Banderas Point totals approximately $75,000,000 by the time the project completes all phases:

  • Phase One: Convenient Store
  • Phase Two: Event Center
  • Phase Three: RV Park
  • Phase Four: Hotel

The fuel brand will change from Green and White BP to Red, White and Blue Amoco.

The new store traffic flow will be improved with 3 check out locations to handle more volume.

Community Radio WILO 96.9 FM/1570 AM and Boone 102.7 will have more on this project as it develops.

Subway at I-65 and 28 has the largest sales volume in Indiana. Subway will move to the new building Tuesday and this existing building with convenience store will be demolished starting Monday May 6.
