Frankfort Community Public Library Hosting Event on Digitizing Photographs

Do you have photographs that you want to digitize and restore? Begin preserving those memories for future generations at the Frankfort Community Public Library on Saturday, May 18, by joining us for a scanning event brought to you by Vivid-Pix.

The event will kick off with a webinar entitled “Printed Photo Organizing Made Easy” at 9 a.m. Afterward, participants can sign up for 15-minute sessions to scan photos and/or 3D objects using a Vivid-Pix Memory Station. Participants can also record themselves recounting their memories associated with the photos and items that they bring to scan. A second Preserve Your Family History webinar will begin at 1 p.m. followed by additional scanning sessions.

This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required since space is limited. Twenty-four 15-minute time slots are available in the morning, and another twenty-four are available in the afternoon. Participants may bring up to 10 items to scan during their session. Items can measure up to 15 inches long, 15 inches wide, and 1.5 inches high.

Register online at myfcpl.org/calendar, by phone, or in-person. For more information, call Jill Garrison at (765) 654-8746, ext. 1137.
