The Boone County Sheriff’s Office released an update around 9:30 a.m. that the Boone County Dispatch admin lines are back up and running.
Community members no longer need to call or text 911 for assistance with non-emergency issues.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Office has announced that the Boone County Dispatch admin lines are currently down, and community members are instructed to call or text 911 for assistance.
The office released a statement just before 7 a.m. on Friday, April 12 that the Boone County Dispatch admin lines are experiencing issues, and community members have been instructed to utilize 911 or text 911 for immediate assistance rather than utilizing the administration number to report a non-emergency situation.
The office stated that AT&T has been made aware of the issue and is currently working on a solution.
No further information or update on the phone lines have been released as of 7:30 a.m. on Friday morning.
