Arnold D. Perry

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our father and husband, Arnold D. Perry on October 7th, 2023.  He passed away peacefully at the age of 83, surrounded by his family.  He was born on October 10th, 1939 in Westmoreland TN to Floyd Henderson & Aleen (Graves) Perry of Sedalia Indiana.  He married the love of his life, Nina J. (Laughner) Perry on June 26,1960, spending over 63 wonderful years together. They went on to have 2 children, Brian and Regina.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and served as a Tanker Driver for the Armor Berlin Brigade in Germany. He worked for Del Monte Foods, as a Maintenance Technician for 25 years before owning and operating Arnold’s Diner.  That is where he loved to serve some amazing home cooked meals for the locals, for over 20 years before retiring.  His love for cooking continued after his retirement, making meals and baking his amazing cakes, sharing with his family at home and the friends of his faith family. He currently attended Bethel Bible Holiness Church.

Our Dad enjoyed collecting antique radios and listening to old vinyl records.  You could always find him tinkering with an old record player, to find that perfect vintage sound for the old gospel record he just found.  He will always be remembered for his jokester ways and bringing smiles and laughter to those around him.

He is survived by his wife, Nina Perry of Frankfort, IN, son, Brian & Ann Perry of W. Lafayette, IN, daughter, Regina Passmore of Frankfort, IN, 3 Grandchildren, Megan Perry, Justin Perry, and Mikayla Passmore, brother, Jack Perry of Sedalia, IN, and sister-in-law, Pat Perry of Lebanon, IN, along with many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Henderson and Aleen Perry, along with a brother, JD Perry.
